RANGPUR: Police, in 24-hour drives till Tuesday noon, arrested 58 people from different upazilas and metropolitan areas of the district.
Rangpur Detective Branch of Police officer-in-charge (OC) Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said among the arrestees, nine are Jamaat-e-Islami men and four are BNP activists.
They were arrested on allegation of creating sabotage, arson and vandalism in the area.
Other arrestees are accused in several cases, the OC added.
