DHAKA: Nagarik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna, now in prison, collected nomination paper for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayoral election.

One of his supporters, Atiqur Rahman, collected the nomination paper on behalf of Manna from Returning Officer’s office in West Agargaon of the city on Tuesday.

Before announcing the schedule, Manna declared that he will compete in the election, however, he is now in jail.

The last date of nomination paper collection and submission is set for March 29.

The election of two split Dhaka city corporations, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), will be held on April 28.
