DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, on behalf of her party, expressed her grief over the death of 10 Hindu pilgrims in a stampede in Langalbandh under Bandar Upazila in Narayanganj.

BNP Chairperson’s Media Wing confirmed the matter to banglanews Friday afternoon.

Khaleda Zia expressed sympathy to the family members of the victims and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.

Earlier in the morning, at least 10 devotees, including seven women, were stampede to death and 30 others sustained injuries during the ‘Astami Snan’, a major religious festival of the Hindu community.
