DHAKA: BNP leaders Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu, Abdus Salam and Abdul Awal Mintoo submitted their nomination papers as mayoral aspirants for the bifurcated Dhaka City Corporations on Sunday.

Nasima Akter, wife of former BNP MP Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu, and Fatema Salam, wife of city BNP former member secretary Abdus Salam, filed the nomination forms on behalf their husband to the office of returning officer for Dhaka South City Corporation election at Mohanagar Nattya Mancha around 3:00pm.

Regional returning officer Sarwar Morshed received the papers from the duo. 

On the other hand, Tafsirul Awal, son of BNP chairperson’s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo, submitted the nomination form of his father as mayoral aspirants for the Dhaka North City Corporation at Returning officer’s office located at National Institute of Local Government around 3:00pm.
