DHAKA: BNP has demanded bails for its leaders and activists so that they can participate in upcoming city polls with a festive mood.
BNP international affairs secretary and also office secretary (in-charge) Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon reiterated the party demand at BNP central office in city’s Naya Paltan area on Saturday.
He claimed that BNP contenders are not getting equal opportunity in poll campaigns comparing with ruling Awami League candidates.
According to him, activities of listed terrors have increased ahead of city polls.
They (terrors) should be arrested to ensure fair election, he added.
BNP leaders Kazi Asad, Sanaullah Mia and Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukdar and BNP’s youth wing Jubo Dal president Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal and its senior vice-president Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, among others, were present at the program.
