DHAKA: A meeting of ruling Awami League (AL)-led 14-party alliance, that was called to be held on Wednesday, has been cancelled.

On the other hand, AL will organize a press meeting at 5:30pm on Tuesday to express their reaction over the comments of BNP leaders regarding the attack on the party’s chairperson Khaleda Zia’s motorcade.

A press released signed by AL office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap informed the media about the matter.

According to the release, the press meeting will be held at AL president’s political office in city’s Dhanmondi area.

AL publicity and publication secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud will address the press meet.

The release also said that the 14-party alliance meeting, set to be held on Tuesday, has been cancelled due to the unavoidable reason.
