DHAKA: BNP-backed mayoral candidate of Dhaka North City Corporation Tabith Awal and his family members cast their votes few minutes after the beginning of voting in three city corporations.

They exercised their franchise at Manarat College Centre in capital’s Gulshan area Tuesday morning.

After casting ballot, Tabith said “We are going ahead in the path of success. We will win the election if voting will be free and fair”.

Amid tight security, voters started casting their ballots to elect new mayors of Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong City Corporations on Tuesday morning.

Voting that started at 8:00am will continue till 4:00pm.

Election Commission (EC) took adequate preparation for a free, fair and impartial voting in the polls.
