DHAKA:  The High Court granted anticipatory bail to BNP leader Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia in seven cases for sabotages filed with city’s Mirpur and Pallabi Thanas during the movement of BNP-led 14-party alliance.

A HC bench comprising Justice M Rezaul Haque and Justice M Khasruzzaman granted him bails on Tuesday.

Earlier, Advocate A.J. Mohammad Ali moved for Rafiqul Islam during the hearing.

The court, however, granted bails in seven out of eight cases while its decision on rest of the case is yet to be informed.
