DHAKA: BNP on Wednesday welcomed the upcoming visit of India Prime Minster Narendra Modi to Bangladesh.
BNP international affairs secretary and also spokesperson Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon made the assertion at a press conference at the party headquarters in city’s Nayapaltan area at noon.
He said that the upcoming visit of India premier will strengthen the existing ties between two neighboring countries.
Mentioning Modi as far-sighted leader, the BNP leader said the India premier’s initiative of building better relations with neighbors is praiseworthy.
However, Narendra Modi is set to come in Bangladesh in an official visit on June 6.
