DHAKA: Jatiya Nagarik Committee (National Citizens Committee) has completed its preparation to accord Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a citizen reception.

The committee will arrange the reception for the premier at Suhrawardi Udyan at 3:30pm on Friday especially for her success in solving long-standing land boundary agreement with India.

The 202 member committee, comprising of eminent poets, litterateurs, teachers, journalists, cultural personalities and other professionals, made the assertion at a press conference held at Liberation War Museum in city on Wednesday.

Jatiya Nagarik Committee convener eminent litterateur Syed Shamsul Huq said that the noted citizens will uphold the success of the premier and her incumbent government at the reception program.

The premier will also deliver a speech at the event, he added.

Syed Huq further requested the pro-liberation forces to attend the program.

Moreover, Dhaka metropolitan unit of ruling Awami League also held a meeting on the day to make the citizen committee’s upcoming program a success.
