Khaleda distributes food to destitute

DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia distributed foods among destitute in different parts of the city on Sunday for the second consecutive day marking the 34th death anniversary of late president Ziaur Rahman.

Khaleda, widow of the BNP founder, began distributing the cooked foods to the poor people in front of the DCC market in Gulshan around 11:30am.

She also distributed the foods at 19 different places across the city.

The BNP chief also inaugurated a photography exhibition organized by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, student front of the party, at National Press Club around 1:00pm.

Earlier on Sunday, Khaleda also distributed foods at 25 places of the city on the occasion of the Zia’s death anniversary.

Ziaur Rahman, the founder of the BNP, was assassinated by a group of army officers at Chittagong Circuit House on May 30, 1981.
