CHITTAGONG: Police, in overnight separate drives, arrested 96 people, including two members Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Chhatra Shibir, from different upazilas of the district.

Chittagong Additional Superintendent of Police (special branch) Muhammad Naimul Hasan, on Monday morning, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said two Jamaat-Shibir men, who were accused in sabotage cases, were arrested from Lohagara Upazila of the district.

Police said that of the arrestees, 11 persons were accused in regular cases while 83 others were warranted.
