DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia sought happiness, peace and welfare of Muslim people of the world, including the country, on the occasion of holy Shab-e-Barat.
Khaleda Zia, in her message issued for Shab-e-Barat, wishes the Muslims on Monday.
In the message, signed by party’s international affairs secretary and also spokesperson Dr Asaduzzman Ripon, the BNP chairperson said the ‘Night of Fortune’ or Shab-e-Barat is very important for Muslims.
The Almighty Allah fixes the fate of human beings, the best creation of Him, in the great night, the statement added.
In this holy night, the devotees seek salvation and beg the Almighty’s forgiveness for all of their mistakes.
They offer special prayers aiming to gain greater proximity and grace of the Almighty, seek release from the grasp of all of evil forces.
In her message, the BNP leader called upon all to be devoted to human welfare and nation-building, being inspired with the teachings of Shab-e-Barat as well as to refrain from all kinds of violence and bloodshed, envy and hatred.
She also wishes continued progress and welfare of the country and the greater unity of Muslim nation on the holy night of Barat.
