CHITTAGONG: Police in special drives arrested 82 people, including three activists of Jamaat-Shibir, from different parts of Chittagong district.

The drives were conducted from Friday night to Saturday morning.

Police also seized 117 liters of liquor and 110 pieces of yaba tablet during the drive.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Chittagong additional police super (special branch) Mohammad Naimul Hasan said among the arrestees one is from Jamaat and two from Shibir.

They are accused in different cases including of creating violence, he added.
