DHAKA: A Dhaka Court rejected the bail prayer for BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in three cases filed with city’s Khilgaon, Paltan and Motijheel thanas on charge of creating violence.

Metropolitan Session Judge Kamrul Molla passed the order on Thursday after hearing the petitions.

The court also asked the investigation officers of the cases to interrogate Rizvi at the jail gate within three working days.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court rejected the petition for bail in the three cases.

In January, the cases were filed with Khilgaon, Paltan and Motijheel thanas on charge of vandalism, arson attacks on vehicles.

Rizvi has been named in the ejahar of the cases.
