LALMONITHAT: Miscreants hacked an activist of Juba League to death on Saturday night at Mahendranagar bazaar under Sadar upazila over establishing supremacy.

The deceased was identified as Fakhrul Islam Bullet, 32, son of Enamul Huq, and member of sadar upazila unit Juba League and also president of Mahendranagar Union Sramik League.

Deceased family members told banglanews that Bullet has a long-standing dispute with Aminur Islam Khan, activist of Harati Union Juba League, over establishing supremacy in Mahendranagar area.
 
They alleged that following the dispute, Amunur called bullet over phone to meet him at Khan Market in Mahendranagar bazaar at night. Gang of Aminur cut tendons of the hands and legs of Bullet and left him bamboo garden behind the market.

Later, locals rushed him to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) AHM Mahfuzur Rahaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
