DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia commented that a mass uprising will make the ‘oppressor’ government fallen.
She made the remark while addressing an iftar mahfil, organized by Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), at Ladies Club in city on Sunday.
The BNP chief said a government by the people should be establishing by removing the incumbent ‘oppressor’ government.
‘Democracy will be restored in the country then,’ she added.
Dhaka University former vice-chancellor Professor Dr Emajuddin Ahmed, Bikalpad Dhara chairman Professor AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, BNP standing committee members Moudud Ahmed and Nazrul Islam Khan and Supreme Court Bar Association president Advocate Khandker Mahbub Hossain, among others, were present at the iftar program.
