CHITTAGONG:  Police, in overnight drives, detained 97 people including four activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir from different areas of Chittagong district on Monday.

The law enforcers also seized 400 grams of hemp and 60 liters of liquor during the drives.

Chittagong additional police super (Special Branch) Mohammad Naimul Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Moreover, lawpersons detained three Shibir men from Lohagara upazila in a special drive.

Police said that of the detainees, 18 people were accused in regular cases while 75 others had arrest-warrants.
