DHAKA: Khandker Mosharraf Hossain took charge of the Local Government, Rural Development and cooperatives (LGRD) ministry on Sunday.

The minister arrived around 11:30am at his office at secretariat in city where LGRD state minister Mashiur Rahman Ranga received him.

Later, the minister exchanged views with ministry officials at his office room.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina removed Syed Ashraful Islam from local government rural development and cooperatives (LGRD) ministry and made him a minister without portfolio.

The PM also gave the charge of the ministry to expatiates’ welfare and overseas employment minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain.
