DHAKA: Members of city metropolitan detective branch (DB) detained 12 female members of Jamaat-e-Islami from city’s Segunbagicha area during their secrete meeting on Sunday noon.

Confirming the matter to banglanews metropolitan detective branch deputy commissioner (DC) Mashrukh Khaled said that on tip-off, police conducted the drive at a flat and detained 12 female Jamaat activists during their secrete meeting.

Moreover, police also seized computer, Islamic book and party documents from their possession.

The detainees are being questioned where they were planning to carry out any subversive activities, the DC added.
