DHAKA: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal categorically said his incumbent government will continue to uphold the zero tolerance policy to terrorism and violence.
The minister, who took oath as full minister on Tuesday, made the comment to the media on Wednesday morning while he went to place floral wreath to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in city’s Dhanmondi area.
‘When I was a state minister for home, I worked to mitigate terrorism and violence under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Now, after being a full minister I will continue to uphold the policy,’ he added.
On the brutal killing of minor boy Rajon, the minister said that it was a tragic incident and culprits will get punished.
To a question, Kamal replied that he will also work to make the police force friendly to people.
