DHAKA: Newly promoted and appointed ministers and state ministers paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Tuesday.

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, expatriates’ welfare minister Nurul Islam, science minister Yeafesh Osman, state minister for post and telecommunication Tarana Halim and state minister for food Nuruzzaman Ahmed paid tribute at Bangabandhu’s grave at Tungipara of Gopalganj district at noon.

Home ministry public relation officer (PRO) Sharif Mahmud Apu and post and telecommunication PRO Enayet Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The visiting ministers have also returned Dhaka, they added.

However, Nurul Islam has recently been appointed as expatriates’ welfare minister and Tarana Halim and Nuruzzaman Ahmed as state ministers while Asaduzzaman Khan and Yeafesh Osman promoted as ministers in their respective ministries.
