DHAKA: police on Wednesday submitted two chargesheets against 58 people including BNP standing committee members Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah and MK Anwar in a sabotage case.

Jatrabari Thana sub-inspector (SI) and also investigation officer (IO) of the case Muraduzzaman submitted the chargesheets to Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in the afternoon.

Earlier January 23, the case was filed under Penal code and Explosive Act with Jatrabari Thana for vandalizing and torching a bus in front of Kazla Women Madrasa on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway.

The other accused included BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Khandakar Mahbub Hossain, journalist Shawkat Mahmud, BNP vice-chairman Selima Rahman, BNP chairperson’s personal secretary Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and her press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan.
