DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday fixed September 10 as the date of hearing for charge framing against 12 BNP leaders and activists, including the party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a cocktail explosion case filed with city’s Motijheel Thana.

Dhaka Metropolitan Special Tribunal-2 judge Zakiya Parvin Fakhru fixed the date following a plea by Fakhrul’s lawyer Advocate Joynal Abedin Mesbah as the BNP leader was ill.

Earlier, the charge framing was dated on Thursday.

Motijheel Thana sub-inspector (SI) Mokarram Hossain filed an explosion case on December 9 of 2012 with the thana. A charge-sheet, accusing Fakhrul and 12 others, was submitted before the court on December 14 of 2013.
