SYLHET: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was stabbed to death during a clash over previous feud at Madanmohan College on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Ali, 19, son of Alkah Mia of Surma upazila of Sylhet district. He was a HSC second year student of the college.

College principal Dr Abul Fateh confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Kotowali Model Thana sub-inspector Masud Rana said, “Punorjit Das along with 4/5 BCL activists stabbed Abdul Ali on the campus at 12:15pm. Later, Ali succumbed to his injuries at Osmani Medical College and Hospital in the afternoon”.

Later, police detained prime accused Punorjit Das and his aide Ruhul Kandi Dey over the murder.
