ISHWARDI: Police arrested a cadre of Jamaat-e-Islami’s student front Islami Chhatra Shibir with a foreign-made revolver and three rounds of bullets in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district on early Monday.

The arrestee has been identified as Mofazzal Hossain (37), son of Gani Sadar of Bansherbada area of the upazila.

Ishwardi Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Biman Kumar Das told banglanews that on tip-off police conducted a drive to arrest a fugitive of several violence cases and arrested Mofazzal with a revolver and 3 rounds of bullets.

He was sent to jail this morning, the OC added.
