‘Nur Hossain will be brought back’

DHAKA: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal categorically said that one of accused of Narayangaj gruesome seven-murder case and also Narayanganj City Corporation ward commissioner Nur Hossain will be brought back at home.

He made this assertion while talking to the journalists at secretariat in city on Tuesday.

However, media reports said that Nur Hossain will be pushed back from India.

The minister said that they have been proposing the India government for several times to extradite the murder case accused to Bangladesh.

‘But he will be brought back soon,’ he added.

Earlier on April 27, 2014, seven people including Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor and also ward commissioner Nazrul Islam and advocate Chandan Kumar Sarkar were abducted and later found floating dead in river Shitalakkhya.

Later, chief suspect of the incident Nur Hossain fled to India, where he was arrested in Kolkata on June 14.

Meanwhile, police have submitted chargesheet of the case.
