DHAKA: Metropolitan detective branch (DB) of police did not get any important information from detained three alleged members of Ansarullah Bangla Team over the killings of bloggers Avijit Roy and Ananta Bijoy Das.
DB police joint commissioner Monirul Islam made the disclosure to the media at DMP media center in city on Thursday noon.
He said that the DB did not get any important information from the arrestees on the first day of their 7-day remand.
‘We hope that information may get in the coming days,’ he added.
Earlier on August 19, police demanded a 10-day remand for three alleged members of the outlaw militant outfit but the court granted a 7-day remand for each.
On the progress of blogger Niloy murder case, the DB higher official said that the arrestees Masud Rana and Saad Al Nahin did not agree about their involvement regarding the murder of Niloy on their fifth day of remand.
