DHAKA: A court here issued arrest warrant against 14 BNP leaders including MK Anwar, Selima Rahman, Maruf Kamal Khan and Shawkat Mahmud in a sabotage case of Khilgaon Thana.

Metropolitan Magistrate Emdadul Haque passed the order on Tuesday afternoon.

Other accused are—Barkat Ullah Bulu, Habibun Nabi Khan, Shirin Sultana, Shafiul Bari Babu, Sorafot Ali Sopu, Azizul Bari Helal, MA Quiyum, Latif commissioner and two others.

Investigation officer SI Billal Hossain pleaded for arrest warrant submitting a charge sheet on June 27 in the case.

Case statement reads, the case was filed for torching a bus of Turag Paribahan near Khilgaon flyover on January 30 during BNP-led 20 party’s hartal-blockade.
