DHAKA: BNP chairperson said that her party wants to practice the politics of national unity not of revenge.
She made the assertion while speaking at a discussion, organized on the occasion of 37th founding anniversary of BNP, at Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh in city on Tuesday.
Reiterating the demand of a free, fair and impartial national election under a non-partisan government, the BNP chief said, ‘We ensure you that we will not repeat the behavior that we received from the ruling party’.
According to her, the national election under an impartial and non-partisan government is needed for the sake of country and democracy.
BNP senior leaders including Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Brigadier General (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, among others also spoke at the discussion.
Earlier this morning, the BNP chief and other leaders and activists paid tribute by placing floral wreath to the tomb of former president and also BNP founder and offering special seeking salvation of the departed soul.
