DHAKA: A Dhaka court framed charges against Awami League lawmaker Abdur Rahman Bodi from Cox’s Bazar in a case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission over amassing wealth beyond their known source of income.
Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar of Dhaka-3 Special Judges Court, Tuesday fixed October 6 for starting trial. However Bodi claimed himself innocent.
Earlier in the charge sheet, ACC brought allegations against Bodi amassed wealth worth Tk 6.33 crore illegally.
On August 21 in 2014, the ACC filed a case with Ramna Thana against Abdur Rahman Bodi on charge of acquiring wealth illegally.
