DHAKA: The national council of ruling Awami League (AL) will be held in December.

Prior to that, district level councils have to be complete by this time.

A set of decisions have been taken at party’s Central Working Committee meeting held at Ganabhaban in city Friday night.

AL president and also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting where most of the working committee members were present.

Several attendees of the meeting confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Sources said AL president Sheikh Hasina asked leaders to hold councils in the rest of the districts.

She also asked them to form complete committee by 15 days in the districts where councils were held.

In 2012, Sheikh Hasina and Syed Ashraful Islam were reelected as the party president and general secretary.
