MYMENSINGH: Miscreants shot dead a leader of ruling Awami League in Dubail Namapara area under Gafargaon upazila over past enmity.

The deceased was identified as Mohor Uddin, 55. He was vice president of local union Awami League.

Locals said miscreants shot at his head and legs. Later locals rushed him Gazipur Sreepur Health Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday night.

Pagla Thana Officer-in-Charge Chan Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
