CHITTAGONG: Police arrested 73 people including three activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student organization Islami Chhatra Shibir conducting overnight drives in different upazilas of Chittagong district on Tuesday.

Chittagong additional police super (special branch) Naimul Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said that two activists of Jamaat and one of Shibir were arrested in a special drive on early Tuesday.

According to him, all the arrestees are accused in several violence cases filed with several thanas in the district.
