CHITTAGONG: Police arrested 98 people including five leaders-activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir from different places of Chittagong.

During the drives, 156 litre locally made liquor and 200 pieces of yaba tablets were recovered.

Chittagong district additional police super (special branch) Mohammad Naimul Hasan told banglanews that in separate drives, police rounded up 98 people, including five leaders-activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Chhatra Shibir from different upazilas of the district.

 Of them, 15 are the accused of regular cases while 78 are warranted accessed. Besides, narcotics were recovered from Lohagara Thana areas, he added.
