GAIBANDHA: Another case was filed against Manjurul Islam Liton, lawmaker from Gaibandha-1 constituency, on charge of vandalism and looting.

Hafizar Rahman, from Uttar Shahbaz village under Sunadarganj Upazila, filed the lawsuit against 10, including Liton, on Wednesday night.

Sunadarganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Israil Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Case statement said on Friday, Liton, along with his gang, invaded Hafizar’s house in the area, and vandalized and looted it.

He also fired two rounds to create panic among people, statement added.

It also said the looted goods were kept in the Liton’s Shah Ali Cold Storage.

Hafizar Rahman told banglanews that he filed an FIR against Liton and nine others on Sunday over the incident.

Later, police filed a case after finding the incident true, he added.

Earlier, a case was filed against Liton on Saturday over shooting a minor, Sourav.
