Thana Jamaat secy held in Barisal

BARISAL: Police detained Kazirhat Thana unit Jamaat-e-Islami secretary Wahidul Sharif early Thursday for his alleged involvement in hatching conspiracy to create sabotage in the area.

Kazirhat Thana officer-in-charge (OC) MR Shawkat Anwar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He was detained from his Char Sonapur village, he added.

The OC also said that the Jamaat leader was shown arrested in cases that were filed against him earlier.
