DHAKA: BNP spokesperson Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon put emphasis on working together for national interest.
He made the call in a press release on Saturday.
In the release, the BNP spokesperson said, ‘We are anxious about the current situation in the country as many of the countries have issued travel warning to Bangladesh and foreign nationals, working in different areas, are gathering in Dhaka for security reason’.
He further said that there is no space for religious extremism in Bangladesh. ‘We should investigate the IS claim of involvement properly and face the challenges together’.
‘It is important to work together dashing away the differences in all national issues.’
The release further said, ‘We want to say to the friendly nations that people of Bangladesh are religious-minded not fanatic’.
‘They do not allow extremism, rather they hate it.’
