FROM CENTRAL JAIL: Family members on Thursday met death row war crimes convict and also Jamaat secretary general Ali Hasan Mohammad Mujahid at Central Jail in city.

A 12-member team, including the convict’s wife and children, reached the jail around 1:45pm and after one-hour they left the place.

After the meeting, convict’s elder brother Ali Afzal Mohammad Khales said Mujahid is both mentally and physically strong. ‘We did not find him tensed.’

Earlier on November 18, the Appellate Division of Supreme Court (SC) upheld the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) verdict of Mujahid’s death penalty after the review hearing.
