DHAKA: BNP has sent a letter to police seeking necessary security for its chairperson and also former premier Khaleda Zia.

A press release, sent by BNP assistant office secretary Asadul Karim Shahin, said on Saturday afternoon.

According to the release, the letter was handed over to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner, deputy police commissioner and Airport Thana officer-in-charge (OC) concerned.

However, BNP chairperson is returning home in flight of Emirates Airlines on Saturday after her medical treatment in London.
