Cox’s Bazar municipality mayor suspended

DHAKA:  Cox’s Bazar municipality mayor Sarwar Kamal has been suspended as he was charged in a criminal case.

Municipality division of Local Government Ministry took the decision on Tuesday afternoon following the court accepted the charge sheet against the Jamaat leader.

Later, a letter singed by Municipality division deputy secretary Khalilur Rahman of the Ministry of Local Government has been issued in this regard.
