MP Liton’s interim bail extended MP Liton

GAIBANDHA: A district court on Tuesday extended the interim bail till December 8 granted earlier to Gaibandha-1 MP Manjurul Islam Liton in a case of shooting to a boy named Sourav.

Gaibandha Amoly Adalat (Sundarganj) judge Moniruzzaman Shikder passed the order, rejecting a petition filed by the lawmaker seeking permanent bail. 

On November 8, Gaibandha additional chief judicial magistrate Mainul Hasan Yusuf granted interim bail to Liton in the case for attempting to murder a child Sourav by shooting.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker got the bail until the end of 8th session of 10th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) that is underway.

Earlier on October 2, Gaibandha-1 constituency MP Liton shot a minor boy Sourav by his licensed pistol.

Later, the boy’s father filed an attempt to murder case against Liton with Sundarganj Thana of Gaibandha district.

Moreover, one Hafizar Rahman of Sarbananda Union of Sundarganj upazila filed a case against the MP in allegation of vandalism and looting.
