DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been released on bail from Kashimpur Jail in Gazipur district on Tuesday.

On Monday, Appellate Division upheld the High Court order that granted a three-month bail to Mirza Fakhrul in sabotage cases.

On November 24, the High Court granted Mirza Fakhrul the three-month bail in three cases of vandalism and arson attacks.

On November 3, Mirza Fakhrul surrendered to the CMM court and appealed for bail.

But a city court sent BNP acting general secretary Mirza Fakhrul to jail in the cases.
