DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL) on Tuesday night confirmed as many as 235 mayoral candidates for upcoming municipal elections.

A party meeting regarding the nomination was held at PM’s official residence Ganabhaban in city.

However, the names of mayoral candidates will be announced later at night at a press conference to be held at AL Dhanmondi office.

Earlier, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and also AL president signed the symbol distribution letter regarding the election.
