DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL) joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif said if anybody, involved with the party, violates its discipline they will be expelled.

He came up with this warning at a press conference held on upcoming municipal polls at Awami League president’s political office in city’s Dhanmondi area on Thursday afternoon.

Hanif also said, ‘I think that leaders and activists of Awami League are loyal to their party. They, definitely, will be unwilling to face disciplinary action of the party’.

‘The highest punishment of discipline violators will be expulsion from the party,’ he reiterated.

AL organiging secretary Ahmad Hossain and leaders AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Abu Sayed Al Mahmood Swapan and BM Mozammel Haque, among others, attended the press meet.
