SATKHIRA: Joint forces arrested 27 people, including three activists of Jamaat-e-Islami conducting drives in different parts of Satkhira district.

The drives were conducted from Saturday night to Sunday early morning.

Satkhira district police special branch sub-inspector (SI) Enamul Haque told banglanews that among the arrestees, the Jamaat men were accused in planning for subversive attacks.

The others were accused in several regular cases, he added.
