DHAKA: BNP will not withdraw its candidates from upcoming municipal polls halfway.

Party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, also polls coordination committee convener, made the announcement to the media after the first committee meeting at party chairperson’s Gulshan political office in city on Tuesday noon.

He also said the party will stay in the field till the announcement of poll results.

Fakhrul said, “We have taken a decision in the coordination meeting about not withdrawing from the municipal polls halfway despite hindrance.”
