DHAKA: The High Court has ordered to issue a summon notice against BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman in a money laundering case.
An HC bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Md Amir Hossain passed the order on Tuesday following an appeal by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The court ordered to publish circular in two national dailies in this regard and fixed February 14 for next order.
A special judge’s court on November 17, 2013, cleared the BNP senior vice-chairman from the case, involving more than Tk200 million.
ACC filed the appeal on December 5, 2013, and the High Court on January 19, 2014, accepted the appeal for hearing and asked the accused to surrender before the trial court.
