BHOLA: Police detained 35 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student front Islami Chhatra Shibir from Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district on Tuesday morning.

Lalmohan Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Akhtaruzzaman told banglanews that a group of Jamaat-Shibir men were conducting a secrete meeting at a house Mawlana Nurullah in Nangalkhali area of the upazila.

On information, police conducted a drive and detained 35 leaders and activists of Jamaat-Shibir.

According to the OC, the Jamaat-Shibir men were detained in accusation of planning subversive activities.

‘Legal action will be taken against them after primary interrogation,’ he added.
