RANGPUR: Jatiya Party leader of the opposition Rowshan Ershad has been declared as senior co-chairman of the party by Chairman HM Ershad.

JP Chief made the announcement from a rally at Gangachara upazila of the district on Wednesday (April 27).

He also said that he would have no objection; rather he would be happy if his wife takes his responsibility after his death. 

Rowshan has done lots for him, served in jailed for him and did hunger strike for him, the chief added.

However, she has been selected as presidium member for making the team stronger so that they would be able to resume power though the next election, said Ershad.
